Itinerary

Morning

Departure from the place of origin to go to the Ricote Valley, one of the few places where we can still feel the sensitivity of the Arab culture. Its municipalities trace a lush orchard that winds along the banks bathed by the Segura River and will transport us to an idyllic world.

Valle de Ricote árboles en flor

We will begin our tour by taking a walk through Cieza, we will visit Paseo Lucas, a true open-air museum where the local artist Pepe Lucas captured in its 32 columns and on its floor a small part of his ground breaking style.

Next, we will go to the Siyasa Museum, which highlights the Andalusian era, thanks to the remains of the Siyasa town. We will see two Siyasa houses on a real scale, as well as vestiges of rock art from the Palaeolithic to the Bronze Age.

After the visit to Cieza, we will go to the Ricote Valley, firstly, we will go to Abarán famous for its “Norias”( Water wheels). Among its fields of cultivation there are numerous hydraulic structures for lifting water, many in disuse or abandonment, but many others still operational, as is the case of the Norias Grande, Candelón and Hoya de don García and then we will make a stop in the heart of the Valley in the ancient town of Ojós, one of the remote villages of the valley whose origins are still uncertain. Its traces date back to prehistory, and from 1281 to the 19th century it belonged to the order of Santiago.

Midday

After the walk we will have lunch in a beautiful restaurant in the area, the Jardines de Ojós, we will taste some of the typical dishes of the Valley.

Afternoon

After lunch we will go to the Archena Spa where we will have the opportunity to enjoy its hot
springs. Upon completion, we return to our place of origin. Arrival and end of services.
